Compare real profiles
Every profile shows the category, base location, years of experience and starting rate the karighar gave. Ratings appear once customers leave them — a new profile says "New" rather than showing an invented score.

Get in touch and agree the job
You talk to the karighar and settle the price between you. Karighar India doesn't sit in the middle of the job or the payment. Afterwards you can leave a rating.
Filter for verified only. The results page has a "Verified only" filter, so you can choose to see just the karighars whose ID our team has actually checked.

Create your free profile
Pick your category, the areas you cover, your experience and a starting rate if you want to show one. Add photos of real work you've done. A few minutes on a phone is enough.

Get verified
Submit a government ID and, if you have one, a GST or trade licence number. Our team reviews it by hand. Verified profiles carry a badge, and customers can filter for them.

Take the work directly
Customers near you get in touch. You quote your own price and deal with them yourself — no middleman setting your rate, and nothing deducted from what you earn.
Being new isn't held against you. A profile with no ratings shows as "New" — there is no fake score and no pay-to-rank. Ratings build as you complete jobs.

What verification checks, and what this costs
The two questions people ask most, answered plainly.
What the Verified badge means
The karighar submitted a government ID — Aadhaar, PAN or Voter ID — and optionally a GST or trade licence number, and a person on our team reviewed it before the badge was granted. It is not automatic and it is not self-declared. How we verify →
Where those documents go
Into a private storage bucket that is not publicly readable. Documents are never shown on a profile and are not part of the public directory, which carries no contact details or ID numbers at all.
What it costs today
Nothing. Creating an account, listing a profile as a karighar, company or student, and getting the Verified badge are all free on Karighar India today. If that ever changes, it will be stated clearly before it does.
Who handles the money
You do. Payment for a job is settled directly between the customer and the karighar. Karighar India does not process payments, hold funds, or take a commission on what you agree.

Straight answers
Do I need an account just to look?
No. Searching and browsing profiles work without signing up. You only need an account to list yourself as a karighar, company or student.
Why does the directory look empty?
Because it is. Karighar India has recently launched and we would rather show you nothing than show you invented listings. Real profiles appear as karighars join — and every search you run will start working the moment they do.
How do I contact a karighar?
Once profiles are live, contact goes directly between you and them — the platform isn't a channel your conversation has to pass through.
While the directory is still filling up, the Contact button opens our assistant, which can answer questions about the platform and search the karighars who have registered so far.
Can I search using Hindi words?
Yes, when you type them. Everyday words like "nal", "bijli", "badhai" or "mistri" are matched to the right trade before the search runs, so you don't have to know the English category name. The pages themselves are in English for now.
Can a karighar pay to rank higher?
No. There is no paid placement in search results. Brand partner slots elsewhere on the site are clearly labelled as such and do not affect karighar rankings.
What if something goes wrong?
Report the profile, message or job to us and a person will look at it. Our Trust & Safety page explains what we check and how reports are handled.
